Just curious, ACE seems to be CFDRC's primary focus but we only use the Fastran solver from CFDRC. Sometimes we wonder how many others use Fastran.

I use it as well. Infact it's our primary cfd-tool.

CFD-ACE+ is widely marketed to multiple industries, but CFD-FASTRAN is marketed primarily to aerospace. This is why you hear more about ACE+ than FASTRAN. CFD-FASTRAN is very good for its applications and has a good reputation among the customers, but there are more ACE+ customers.

I wonder if there is somebody who know exactly how to define Reynold's number in FASTRAN, expecially the characteristic value "L" in the equation (Re=L*v/n). I will be glad for all information on my e-mail: kbarwin@interia.pl thanks

Could I ask some questions about CFD-Fastran and CFD-View? 1, How can i estimate the value of k and e in CFD-Fastran solver? 2, How can i plot the vorticity magnitude in CFD-View?

k = 0.5*(0.01*U)^2....where U is the freestream velocity
e = 0.09*rho*k*k/4/mu
where: rho is the density (kg/m3) k is determined from above mu is viscosity

Thank you.but when i check k and e on wall in CFD-VIEW .I find they are much bigger than the value given by these functions.
